We always say on this show that multiple things can be true at once.

And in Auburn's case, it can be true that Brian Harson isn't the guy that Auburn needs

at the helm, but also that it was the right time to move on from Gus Malzahn.

The only reason to relitigate this is since Harson's debacle, there's been a ton of calls

of, well, you shouldn't have fired Malzahn echoing everywhere since this Harson experiment

has gone downhill quicker than a lose competition.

It also made news recently when former Auburn quarterback Bonix said in an interview that

it's nice to be in an offense where you can check the play and not just run it regardless

of the look, the ability to be more versatile in the passing game and be able to not run

good plays into bad looks, rather good plays into good looks.

Now, we've heard basically the same thing from multiple Auburn receivers as well.

The truth is the game was evolving and Gus Malzahn was not, which is shocking considering

he was an innovator with the hurry up offense and he even wrote a book on it, he pulled

a JK rolling.

He also didn't evolve on the recruiting front, while Auburn was signing good classes, they

weren't even competing for the spot that matters most.

Offensive line, and that combination helped seal Gus's fate.

Now, some will say Bonix is playing better because of being in a weaker conference.
