Welcome to Ty and that guy. I'm Wes Chatham. This is my good pal, Ty Frank. Today we're talking about

season two, episode five, home. Yeah, which is a, it's going to be an interesting episode to talk about because one of the things that probably most people watch the show don't know is this is the episode Mark and Hawk used to sell the show.

Yeah.

This was the sales document right here.

And we'll say that Mark, Fergus, and Hawk Osby wrote this episode, and it was

directed by David Grossman. And Ty, tell that story about how they had Thomas Jane on the phone

and he used this to, or do we tell that when we had Thomas Jane on? We did. When we had Tom on,

we talked about the fact that this was how they sold him as well.

But even before that, so Mark and Hawk had been attached to the project by a guy named Sean Daniel

and he is protege, Jason Brown, who had a little producing company called the Sean Daniel Company.

And Sean is, Sean is Hollywood royalty. Sean, you know, I think he ran like,

which he ran one of the giant movie producing studios for years and like he

produced Tombstone. He produced like Animal House. He watched in that period. Animal House.

He produced Animal House, right? So he's been around forever and,

and knows everybody.

And he started his own little production company with Jason.

They were the ones, along with Ben Cook, who optioned the expanse, got us working on it,

brought in Mark and Hawk to write a pilot for it.

And that sort of that little group of five people, or six people, I guess, that little

group of six people there became the people who initially sold the show.

And so Mark and Hawk had written this pilot and I guess it was before Alcon.
