Welcome to Day 17 of the Harvey Weinstein trial on Filtered.

from the trial of Harvey Weinstein.

But first, let's remind you what the trial is all about.

In a case that basically launched the Me Too Movement,

movie producer Harvey Weinstein, faces two charges of rape and one of a criminal sex act containing two separate women.

He also faces charges of predatory sexual assault which carry a possible life sentences. And those charges involve four other women,

and it's complicated.

The jury will not be asked to judge

on the innocence or guilt of the four women. They're only going to be asked to judge on the innocence or guilt of the four women.

They're only going to be asked to judge on the innocence, the guilt of the two women,

but if they do find him to be guilty of all the charges,

then he faces a predatory sexual assault charge.

So the trial is coming to an end, and today it was the turn of the prosecution

and Jonah Lucy Orban to give the closing arguments for the people.

She's a long time prosecutor and famously you know she led and ultimately abandoned the sex

assault probe against former IMF chief Dominic Strauss can and she's also worked for

the district attorney's office for almost 30 years on many major cases including winning a conviction

in the very notorious and awful decades old case of a missing child called E10 Pass.

A lot of people remember that story. He was the child. I think he was the first child whose

face was put on a milk carton across the United States.
