Summary

The USS Hornet is an aircraft carrier located in Alameda, California. It is named for a previous aircraft carrier that sank in October 1942. This new Hornet joined the rest of the United States fleet in November 1943 and fought in many battles during World War II. She later served during the Vietnam War and then went on to help with the Apollo Program. She was decommissioned in 1970 and has gone on to receive historical designation and to become a museum. There is another designation that the Hornet is known by and that is the most haunted warship in the U.S. Naval Fleet. Join us and our listener Pamela Ennis, who is a docent for the warship, as we explore the history and hauntings of the USS Hornet! 1:25.2	Akbersad probably back in I think it was February. So for those of you who have
1:30.0	made suggestions and you're like where is it you can see sometimes it takes
1:33.7	us a while to get to those suggestions I just put together a list Denise the
1:37.7	other day I organized it finally which is a good thing because I found some
1:41.1	locations that we'd had four different people suggest.
1:44.4	So I've got it more organized now in an alphabetical order so that we can find them.
1:48.9	So I had this on the calendar to do in December.
1:51.6	And last month we got an email from a woman named Pamela
1:54.9	Ennis who said hey I have a suggestion for you guys the USS Hornet and I went oh well
2:01.0	great timing because we already have it on the calendar and then she went on to tell us that she actually is a docent on the aircraft carrier and I said well
2:10.0	would you like to come on the show with us? And she said she would.
