ministry is called ministry for a reason. You know, it's hard. It's difficult. You

know, we need rest in the midst of our work, you know, and all that we're doing. I

like what a Hudson Taylor said. I used to ask God to help me. Then I asked if I

might help him. I ended up by asking him to do his work through me. You know,

ministry can be hard. From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed,

especially for a pastor, where they're always on call. You know, they are the

emergency room surgeons of our day. The pastor who is not just serving on a

Sunday morning, but unfortunately, they're serving tables, you know, because we

don't have the people that are set up and in place. There's many people that

will go to the pastor and say, you know what this church needs? This church needs

and then fill in a blank, a barbecue ministry, a children's ministry, blah blah blah blah.

Rebuking ministry and they want the pastor to do something about it, not realizing

that they are the ones to do it, right? That if you're going to go to your

pastor with a good idea for the church, we'll just be ready to take up the slack

and for you to be that person, for you to be that conduit from God onto the people.
