Hello, friends, and welcome back to the Bikes for Death podcast. As always, my name is Patrick,

and I'm your host. And on today's episode, we are chatting with Hannah Simon, and this

episode was actually recorded live at Cycle East. We had a great turnout. I did a head count

while we were up there, and I think we got about 50 people that came which was amazing

and I'm going to introduce today's episode live and in real time with Hannah so we're going to

get right to the housekeeping and right off the bat I'd like to address and apologize for the audio

on this episode I have to tell you that whenever I got home after recording this event,

I checked the audio and for whatever reason, whether it was a technical problem or a user error,

Hannah's mic did not pick up her audio. And I could have darned near cried. I was almost

in tears. I just couldn't believe it because I really,

you know, we've been following Hannah's journey for the entire year. This was our fourth episode.

And I really, in my mind, I guess I thought of it as like the crescendo of the year, you know,

this final note that we were going to hit and maybe putting it into

triple crown terms. It's like we got right up to the finish line of the AZT and DNF. And so,

anyway, I was able to pull audio from a couple of their sources. I actually had five different

audio sources with two different cameras and I stitched

it all together the best that I could. And if you squint your eyes, tilt your head to the side and use

your imagination, just pretend that you're there with us at Cycle East in the audience. And I really

hope it's not too bad. Maybe I'm over emphasizing it. Maybe I'm not.

I don't know. But I felt really bad about it. And I apologize to Hannah for that miss cue and to the

audience. So moving along, though, highs and lows. We'll get this one right. I will say that
