Kelly. It's good to be here. Now, do you mind if I share a little bit more about you with our audience before we get started here? No, good idea. Great. So William is a London-based psychotherapist and writer.

So first off, you know, can you tell us a little bit about what dynamic running therapy is and what it has to do with those or how it could support those of us in the throes of anxiety?

Well, I had a sort of burnout in my life about 11 years ago.

I took up running in therapy to get myself through it, decided to train as a therapist

and then bring everything I'd learned about running into creating this kind of running

therapy, as I call it.

So that's where it comes from. That's what it is,

vaguely speaking. How can it help people? Well, I think, you know, I think therapy is useful

for most people. And I think that running in the outdoors and is fantastic for, particularly for things like

anxiety and depression, if you can get people out, which is not always easy.

I guess it depends where you live.

Well, but it also depends on how anxious and depressed you're feeling.

You know, I recognize that for a lot of people to say to the moment,

why didn't you go out and take a walk, is a pretty terrifying prospect.

Yeah, it really is.

As someone that has been agoraphobic in the past and housebound,

the idea of even going for a walk around the block at one time felt pretty insurmountable.
