It is a region I love it and I need to say that I've been looking back at some of the podcasts and I realize that we have

not focused on regions for a while so you can expect the next spate of podcasts to focus on regions.

I think that we are going to get back to that.

We have had some feedback from people saying that they miss that.

Anywho, let's talk about Campagna because I mention these wines a lot and really let's frame it in this way.

I believe that when people ask me what's the next hot grape? What's the next hot area? I think that the answer is going to be a lot of stuff at a

Campagna. Really? Why? Well I'm going to point these things out as we go through the podcast, but I think that we're going to focus in on the question of what are the next hot grapes?

And what should you be looking for on the horizon for something new out of Italy?

Because this region, which is about a hundred thousand acres or 46,800 hectares of vines in the shin of Italy's

boot. So Italy's shaped like a boot and this is the Shin. So it's a little bit south of Rome. It's really a huge tourist region.

Capital is obviously Naples, but it's got Capri or the island of Capri, that's how people say Capri,

the Amalfi coast, Costa Amalfi, Pompeii, which we love Pompeii, I know you never finished that book why did you never

finish that book I don't know just because it it paled to actually being there
