Summary

Now that two months have passed since the release of the Investigation Discovery/HBO Max docuseries "Let Us Prey: A Ministry of Scandals," we are ready to discuss the IFB's response. In the first segment, we cover the official statements given by Pastor John Wilkerson of First Baptist Church of Hammond. In the second segment, we are joined by Eric Skwarczynski of the Preacher Boys Podcast who tells us about a private conversation that he and "Let Us Prey" star Kathy Durbin had with Wilkerson on the day of their protest. In the third segment, we discuss the response from IFB Pastor Phil Hudson of Union Temple Baptist Church.

1:07.1	ours several people that we know including rachel Peach, Eric Swazinsky, who we
1:11.3	had as guests on the show, among others. And this documentary showed the culture and systemic
1:21.3	abuse that occurs within IFB churches. The documentary focused on the abuse network within the IFB and how pastors who abuse
1:33.8	assistant pastors, youth workers are shuttled from church to church and specifically how that
1:40.3	gives them the opportunity to hurt more people. We were pleased that this documentary was so focused on platforming the stories of survivors
1:52.1	rather than trying to cast a broader net.
1:56.6	While it did show some of the larger conspiracies that the IFB is involved with, see people like David Hiles, I thought that it was excellent the way that this documentary really focused on prioritizing the experiences of survivors.
2:11.9	Anyway, it's been about two months since that documentary came out, and a lot has happened within and around the
2:19.0	IFB since that time, including responses from prominent pastors. There was a big protest event
2:26.9	that happened towards the end of December. Yeah, the response that I'm covering is not from a
2:32.2	prominent pastor, just from a very loud and obnoxious one.
2:36.7	Well, is there, I mean, loud and obnoxious is how you rise to prominence in the IFB, isn't it?
