Welcome in to another edition of the Under Center podcast here in NBC Sports Chicago.

0:10.3

I'm JJ Stankovic, joined at House Hall by Cam Ellis.

0:13.5

The first half of this podcast, we're going to talk about Mitch Trubisky.

0:16.7

On Wednesday here at Househall, we're recording this before practice, but all signs are pointing to Mitch Trubisky playing and starting for the Bears on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams.

0:26.9

He said he's about as close to 100% as he's felt with his injured shoulder and that he just kind of needs to go out and prove it to Matt Nagy this week, which is essentially what Matt Nagy said.

0:36.5

So moving forward, Cam, the bears are going to have Mitch Trubisky starting.

0:40.7

Again, it would take a really unprecedented setback for that not to be the case.

0:44.5

So what are we looking for out of Trubisky on Sunday as he plays his first game since

0:49.5

enduring that shoulder against the Minnesota Vikings?

0:51.7

Yeah, I think that the biggest thing we're looking for is

0:54.5

how he takes a hit. I think that's what he really talked about was, you know, maybe he has full

0:59.5

range of throwing, maybe he feels confident throwing the football now, but it's all about maybe taking

1:03.7

a hit, maybe sliding, sort of feeling like he is the dynamic player that the Bears drafted him

1:09.4

to be. And I know that people sort of want him to develop as a passer,

1:14.3

but taking hits, running is a big part of his game,

1:16.7

and it's a big part of the Bears' offense.

1:18.5

And I think that is going to be the biggest spot where we see

1:21.0

whether he still is aggressive running or sliding or whatever may be.

1:24.0

Yeah, Mitch talked on Wednesday about wanting to be smarter with that,

1:27.7

where it's not always about getting that extra yard.

1:31.0

It's about being smart about when to go after that extra yard.

1:34.1

Like the instance of the play where he got hurt,
