Hey guys, welcome back to the show.

Today is going to be a little bit different we've been mixing it up

around here quite a bit lately but in this episode we're going to be talking

about why I am severing all ties with the company Patreon and what my videos are

going to look like going forward because things are going to be be by saying that overall social media platforms and all of the sites really that have been

created to support creators and enable people to get their voices out there, those

have been good things for society.

Thanks to social media almost three years ago now, I was able to start posting videos

about topics that really spoke to me and things that I cared about,

and I was able to engage in conversations with other people who were similarly

concerned with how things are going.

And going beyond myself here, without social media, independent media would not be the huge challenge

to establishment publications that they are today.

Because of social media and whether you agree with them personally or not, groups like

the Young Turks and Infa Wars and Brightbart and think progress are now part of the conversation and I'm

someone who really does believe that when it comes to the public discourse the

more voices the more perspectives the better however and this is where things get a little bit complicated,

it is totally correct and not at all hyperbolic to say

that the vast majority of social media sites and big tech platforms are against conservative ideas

and are trying their hardest or at least taking steps to ensure that those ideas are censored.
