Now that Wes isn't here, we can talk about, you know,

things that a working actor just wouldn't understand.

Today what we're going to talk about is fear,

specifically fear in creative pursuits.

So Wes and I were having a conversation recently that made me think of this as an actor.

And I would guess this is true of every actor.

There are projects that you make.

Because as an actor actor you have so little

control over what the final project looks like. You know, you can read the script, you can

negotiate with the filmmakers, and when you're on set, you have some ability to discuss the project

with the director and the producers and the writers.

But ultimately, you have no control over what gets filmed.

You have no control over the cut of the movie, which is really where the movie is written is in the cut.

It's huge.

So you can wind up where you have spent months of your life working on something that

you are then embarrassed to have people see.
