because the case is so strange, so unthinkable, that even people who watch the documentary

are still trying to make sense of it. So it begins in October of 2020 in New Boston, Texas. It is a small town near the

Arkansas border. It's the kind of place where people leave their doors unlocked. A 27-year-old

woman named Taylor Parker pulled her car over to the side of the highway and called 911 and told
