Well, hey everybody, welcome to the debrief. Super excited. I'm here today with Nick once again, because he did such a great job, and we love him from San Sandals Church app. A little plug there if you haven't checked that out yet. We're in the Old

0:24.1

Testament right now and I know even in my small group we've had some really hard, awkward questions

0:27.5

as we all try to figure out what this means for us. So we've got some of those on the episode today too,

0:31.0

which I'm excited to get into. Yeah. And we'll also be talking about passion, sexuality, and death, and how all of that fits together. Yeah, it's a nice, light, easy episode.

So basically what you have is you probably have some young people that were raised in church

1:49.1

or they're in some kind of Bible class, and there's just, there's too much time on their hands.

1:53.3

So what they're going to do is they're going to find these wonderful promises in the Bible

1:56.2

and find all these reasons why this gives you no hope whatsoever.

1:59.4

And that's just really one of the challenges.

2:05.0

So what I would say is, here's where your professor or perhaps your pastor is right.

2:12.5

Jeremiah 29-11 is a real text to a real people in real time. So the text is from the prophet, the prophet Jeremiah, to the people of Israel who are presently in that moment being carried off into slavery
