Welcome to another special edition, the epic conclusion, part two of our conversation with Christopher C. Smith,

Mormon historian who specializes and wrote his doctoral dissertation on Mormon Native Relations

in the Utah era. What we're going to talk about today, this is part two of these,

this two-part series. We're going to focus heavily on early Mormon emissaries

to Native Americans. We really dive into how Mormon-native relationships were explored and

then leveraged in order to hasten the Mormon theodemocracy with dictatorial prophecies of war,

vexation, and bloodshed. Chris, uh, we, he kind of begins off with reading a letter from James

Arlington Bennett that absolutely misses no words about the impending Mormon military campaign.

And then we talk about Joseph Smith being on the constant hunt to find a new location where the

Mormons could settle and live as a sovereign nation, a sovereign theocracy, Mormon Zion.

And then he talks about each of these scouting missionaries, thinking that their mission,

wherever Joseph sent them, is the most important mission and how many balls that Joseph

Smith had up in the air at any given time.
