Nephi Cole, Policy advisor for Wyoming Gov. Mead and Doug Miyamoto, Director of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture join Jimmy and Mark at the Vortex Extreme 2018 as they discuss the decision to make shooting sports a larger focus of their Wyoming State Fair. It seems rare these days to hear public officials voicing their support for firearms and the shooting sports industry, so to hear from these two about Wyoming’s dedication to preserving and even further igniting their state’s firearm culture was refreshing. They also talk to the interactions they’ve had with other elected officials across the nation regarding firearms and the second amendment. It was truly an honor to be a part of the WY state fair with the Vortex Extreme and if this discussion is any indication of the future of the event, we hope to see many more of you in Wyoming at the Wagonhound Ranch for years to come! 0:47.6	So really, we wanted to get these guys on the podcast to kind of go into a little bit of this year's 2018 Vortex Extreme and the way it came

0:58.6	It's in Wyoming this year, which is the first time ever.
1:02.2	We'd partnered with Spirit Ridge in Utah for a couple of years there.
1:05.6	This is the eighth Vortex Extreme, but again the first one in Wyoming. So for seven years we were down there in Utah,
1:10.5	and we enjoyed it. We just couldn't have it there this year and so we
1:14.7	almost thought it wasn't going to happen but then through a great series of
1:18.7	communication and actually a series of communication I'm not even super familiar with because I know it was a lot of lucky things happening all at once.
1:27.0	It ended up here near Douglas, Wyoming, or I guess maybe technically in Douglas, Wyoming, at the Wagonhound Ranch.
