So today we are going to talk to Sheriff John Urquhart who appeared on the Adam Ruins

Drugs episode. John is the sheriff of Kings County, Washington. He's worked in

law enforcement for 40 years and he is on the forefront of law enforcement officers speaking up nationally about how the war on drugs has been an abject failure.

This is a guy who currently serves protecting the people of his city and he's like,

guys, this war on drugs drugs thing it's not working out

which come on that is a fascinating point of view he was incredibly generous to

come on our show and talk about it and to come talk about it on the podcast here today.

And just a quick note, this episode was recorded before the election and as you remember, most people

thought the election was going to go a little bit differently.
