All right, today on the podcast I have a good friend of mine, Adam Brust, who is an old friend of mine.

We actually became friends. Boy, how old are we, Adam? It was elementary school. This is like fourth grade or something like that, right?

You know, I think you and I were in Mrs. McDonald's class. Right, weren't you in her class?

Well, I actually had her twice. I had her for third and fifth grade.

Okay, so I was still in Claremont, I think in third grade. So we came to Tirisana and I was in Mr. Old's class in fourth grade.

And then you and I got to be good buddies. I think in Mrs. McDonald's fifth grade class.

That sounds about right. Yeah, so you and I go way back and our friendship wasn't really based around Christianity, but both of us, we both came to Christ and had a great time.

And have been, you know, walking with him now for quite a while, but I've been really encouraged to hear, you know, and to see you and your walk with the Lord.

And I'm glad that we've kept in touch all these years.

And well, Adam, I want to start with this. Why don't you just talk for a little bit, share with us, you know, sort of.

How did you come to know Christ and walk with him initially?

Well, your influence was pretty major in my life. My, my mom was a pretty devout Catholic. And she went to the University of San Diego, which is a Catholic school.

And she had some, some pretty intense encounters with the Lord there.

And she did her best to raise me and my two brothers in the Catholic church.

But I just never really connected with anything with anything there. It was just a lot of, you know, to me, it was a lot of empty form and ritual.

And I didn't really experience the power of God. I certainly experienced the conviction of the Holy Spirit, you know, through catechism and confession with the priests and all that stuff.

But there was really no relationship with the Lord other than I just felt like I was a bad person all the time.

And then, you know, you and I started to develop a friendship.

And I just, I remember significantly asking you what you were doing on a Friday night.

And you explained to me that you go to church on it for on Fridays. And I believe I invited myself along.

And I had an incredible encounter during worship at the Korean Calvary Church that you used to attend over on Lendavista Road.

And that really had an impact on my life. I really felt like I had an encounter with the presence of God, with the person of God.
