When you think of football states, you typically think of the southeast with some Midwest sprinkled

in.

But in 2022, so far, there is one northern state that is exceeding expectations on the

gridiron.

That would be New York.

While the city has a share of problems right now and is turning more into Gotham City

by the day, the giants, jets, bills and Syracuse are a combined 16 and 4 to start the year.

We knew the bills were going to be a title contender, but what the other three have accomplished

is surprising to say the least.

Dino Babers at Syracuse was on one of the hottest seats in the country coming into the season,

but after busting into the top 25 with a 5 and 0 start, his seat is cooler than John

Travolta in Greece.

Robert Salah for the jets isn't just keeping receipts anymore, he's returning items with

the middle finger stamp, and Brian Dable for the giants is the most popular big man in

New York since Biggie.

Now, it's always good for the game of football when different regions of the country are

able to contribute quality teams to each league or division.

It must be a nice reprieve also for the New Yorkers after watching the nicks fall shorter
