guitarist John Feldman from the Los Angeles California Scott Punk band

Goldfinger. Together we break down the writing, recording, and inspiration behind their fan favorite song,

Superman, taken from their 1997 and second album overall, Hang-U.

John mentioned that he wrote Superman way back in 1994 while he was

writing all the rest of the material that ended up making their self-titled debut.

The band even released an earlier version on a split 7 inch with Real Big Fish.

And while the song was the lead-off track on the album, the tune initially received little to no radio play and may never shot a video for it either.

But thanks to Tony Hawk Pro Skater, this song has taken on a massive life of its own,

becoming one of the band's biggest songs, both live and on record. So for all this and a whole lot more, don't you dare go anywhere.
