Summary

Art Briles is making headlines again after his attempt to return to coaching at Grambling. He has chosen “Fearless” as the exclusive platform from which to tell HIS SIDE of the story. Whitlock asks the former Baylor Bears head coach about the recent statements that Hue Jackson and Doug Williams made about him. How has the media gotten almost everything surrounding the sex scandal at Baylor University wrong? Former Baylor and St. Louis Rams player Jason Smith joins the broadcast to talk about how Briles became like a father to him and helped strengthen his faith in God. In the in-depth interview, Briles also tells Whitlock about some of the most incredible moments from his long career. What are his thoughts about the careers of Robert Griffin III, Wes Welker, Josh Gordon, Xavien Howard, and Patrick Mahomes? Today's Sponsor: CB Distillery is your new headquarters for CBD products to improve your health. Use promo code FEARLESS for 20% off at https://www.thecbdistillery.com Get your swag on! Best gift I've ever received has to be a bike when I was younger, a pedal bike.

0:07.0

It was a sort of slick little road bike and I remember it was all like, it was so, it was all wrapped up,

it was so obvious what it was obviously because nothing's shaped like a bike and I had a little ribbon on it and I was so

Do we have a great show for you today? It's going to be hard to top yesterday's show. My rebuttal to the state of the union was pretty bonkers yesterday.

1:12.0

I appreciate all of you that watched and shared it with friends and family. I suggest you continue to do that because as I looked around, that was the best explanation of the state of the union.

1:27.0

I'd seen anywhere and I'd love like Tucker Carlson's explanation last night. I was on his show with him last night. It was good too but I went an hour and 20 straight minutes without taking a breath and breaking down that terrible state of the union address.

1:46.0

That was awesome but we're going to top it today. It's just me, you and Art Browse. We're going to get to the bottom of the Art Browse controversy.

2:00.0

Art, the great Baylor head football coach, the great Texas high school football coach had success. A lot of success at the University of Houston.

2:10.0

Then takes Baylor from the Abyss to a nationally ranked program. As you've heard me, I talked earlier this week, Monday or Tuesday, I think I did a show about Art and what's going on with him right now.

2:24.0

Of course, he got run out of Baylor in 2015 as we discussed earlier in the week. He and several of his black football players were scapegoated for a campus wide problem at the University of Baylor.

2:39.0

I think anybody that looks into that case will see clearly that they had a campus wide problem that they knew they could sweep under the rug by, you know, it's those black football players in Art Browse.

2:54.0

We get rid of them and we fix Baylor and don't look at the rest of the school. Don't file all those lawsuits you're thinking about filing.

3:04.0

Don't look at the Board of Regents. Don't look at us not following federal guidelines and safety protocols for students as it relates to reporting sexual assault.

3:16.0

Those crazy criminal black football players, they're the problem and Art Browse let's them just run crazy. Yeah.

3:27.0

America fell for that. The media painted that picture. It's not remotely the truth. Many of the players that were in the headlines from Sean Oakman to others were exonerated but media doesn't care about that.

3:43.0

They had a scalp and they could blame football, which the media loves to blame football. At some point I wish people would wake up and get it that football, the sport, most attached to Christianity, most attached to traditional conservative values is constantly under attack.

4:06.0

And so with Art being in the news and you guys have followed the news cycle, I'm sure Art was going to resurface as the offensive coordinator at Grandling State University under head coach Hugh Jackson.

4:23.0

And of course the social media lynch mob went after Art and then Doug Williams, the all-time great football player from Grandling State, first black quarterback to win a Super Bowl through Art and Hugh under the bus.

4:41.0

And so before I introduce and bring on Art, I just want to say because if you hear me, look, I'm going to tell you throughout this interview exactly what I believe, I've already said what I believe earlier in the week.
