Well, before so before we were chatting before the interview, we were chatting and I found out you and I not only have the guitar in common, but we have probably the greatest electric guitarist of all time, just in terms of the standard he set in common as well.

Randy wrote our mutual love for Randy Rhodes. When did you discover the former and unfortunately late guitarist for Ozzy Osborne? Do you remember your first Randy Rhodes moment?

You know, I think it probably was somewhere in the vicinity of 1989 to 90s. Wow.

Yeah, and you know, by that time when I started to really get into not only the guitar, but music in general, unfortunately he was shortly thereafter replaced by a series of guitarists and I had to retroactively learn a lot about Randy Rhodes as so many others did.

You know, by that time, Ozzy had gone in a great but different direction, but for me, learning the guitar, and this is what we were talking about before, he just did something that was so different, so special, brought classical guitar to metal to our rock, and it's not even metal. I mean, it's beautiful rock.

Yeah, I mean, something nobody else had done. You were so right at that time, it was Eddie Van Halen, it was Jimmy Page, it was all, you know, all these others that really got there, you know, they had their own niche.

But Randy did something that was for people who, you know, have a broad appreciation of music, and I love classical music. I mean, I just never saw the marriage of the two.
