And I thought, oh, I know what they want.

They want to see me go off, the steep, steep drop off into the Dalzell gorge.

And sure enough, my dogs disappear over this cliff, two by two by two.

And I think, I am going to stay on my feet.

And I can see that camera dangling.

And I managed to get over that drop off in one piece and after this miserable performance

that I knew very well they'd been filming.

I just, I had on these big Arctic mittens and I raised my hands over my head at that helicopter

and raised my middle finger.

Of course, they didn't see it and I never would have done it publicly.

And I just thought,

Debbie Maudro moved to Alaska in 1979 to pursue mountain climbing. But after adopting an Alaskan husky named Salt, she and her family quickly discovered a love for another sport involving these wonderful

animals. This newfound love for a husky turned the Modro family into a family of musher's.

In 2003 at the age of 47, Debbie decided to take a crack at the 1,000 mile long I diderod sled dog

race for the first time. And she's with me today to describe her experiences in this 43-year-old event. Debbie,
