okay hey everybody welcome back to another JLTY plus. This is where you get bonus thoughts, not just my own, but I invite interesting people to say interesting things. And today I'm really thrilled to welcome my good friend and an old friend, Andrew Lotton.

Andrew is a journalist.

He's a speaker.

He is a fellow in journalist at the True North Center.

And he comes to us today, live from Ottawa, where he has been covering the trucker protests.

And Andrew, I know Andrew through our work, but we're both Canadians.

And so we share a certain knowledge of Canadian life, although I haven't been one for very long.

I want to start out with an apology to you, Andrew.

I have been very harsh on Canadians over the last few years. I think the older I get, the more I realize how

personal it is because my Canadian experience was so terrible that I haven't been able to separate

it. So I've been very snarky about Canadians, but I have to apologize because Canadians are really leading the way on this push for freedom.

And so please forgive me.

Well, see, that's how you know that you're a Canadian at heart because your first instinct is to just like apologize for something that doesn't even warrant an

apology. I know we're going to talk about stuff of substance, but I just, this is like my

favorite bit of Canadian trivia to tell Americans. There's actually a law in, I think it's Ontario,

it's not federal, but it's a law in Ontario called the Apologies Act. And it says that because
