Moses took pains to make sure you understood he was talking about history.

0:09.9

You know, the Bible is very specific.

0:12.3

Moses was very specific because he wants you to understand that there is history here.

0:18.3

We even have that in general confirmed by Jesus because when Jesus tells us

0:23.6

about the fact that as in the days of Noah, you know, so shall it be in the days of the

Son of man. The biblical stories that Jesus uses to underscore the truthfulness of the Bible are the most wild stories of all.

The flood of Noah and Jonah and the whale.

You can have a much better hermeneutic in terms of your method of interpreting

1:46.9

the Bible with the Septuagint, because you can talk about a flood that occurs in basically

1:54.2

3360 BC rather than 2350 BC. In other words, that happened a thousand years earlier. To pick the chronology of the MT and of the masoretic text is to basically hand over the truthfulness of the Word of God to the skeptic.

Welcome to the Day's Inua podcast, where we talk all things biblical, supernatural, and strange.

2:41.5

Today we welcome back, Doug Woodward.

As we continue in his rebooting the Bible series, this time focusing on the second book that he wrote,

where he unpacks the missing 1600 years or so from the Maseretic text, which is essentially all of the Bibles that we
