So rough loss for the Bears today.

They lose 38 to 31 to the New England Patriots.

The game ends on Kevin White catching a ball at the one yard line, not making it into the end zone.

There's a lot of regret you heard from the locker room on that particular play,

but it was all the things leading up to that play, which is probably why they lost.

Lance, I'm going to start with you.

What was the most disappointing thing about the loss?

A combination of things, but in particular, special teams.

We mentioned special teams every week and I know Alex does, I know Forte feels the same way,

especially when you've been around a guy like Devvin Hester and you've been around great teams with Tobe.

But we mentioned special teams have an effect on the game each week and where you have a office that may play well, defense may play well, and the special

teams you don't hear much from the special teams. Today we heard how the special teams affected

us in a negative way, in a huge negative way, because in a 14-point swing, the Bears will be

winning this game. The touchdown is one thing with Patterson, who made an incredible move.

But A.B., you were struck by how, and this has become a theme now, that there was a lack of effort on the punt block where you have five, six Patriots just huddled around the ball and no bear in the frame.

Initially, had they picked the ball up and scored initially,

then I can see, okay, maybe a guy not getting in the picture,

but after he drops the ball, he misses the first one,

and they just kind of stop and paused about a second and a half,

and then nobody still shows up.
