My undergrad was on folklore, Icelandic folklore,

and as time went on I started to focus more and more about old Icelandic literature and old

North religion and I did my be thesis with Professor Tarrick Gunnell, where I was focusing on certain stones

often associated with blood rituals or some sacrificial rituals.

And from there it was an easy step for me to do my master in

old Norse religion. I came with Terry. And then I decided to turn my focus a little bit to

Gislass and Ursuas, which is the topic of today.

I mean, what was it like learning with Terry?

He is a. He is a very humorous guy.

It's a funny guy and he's very, very knowledgeable. but what I like about him is his approach, you know, he's always

telling me and other students like I'm giving you the tools now you have to prove me wrong.

Yeah you know he is very open to new ideas and that.

Oh absolutely and yeah he's supportive and I mean, that's what Agadima should be about also.

You know, you come with a new idea and then another people fight to attack your idea. So as this is how it works, I suppose.

Yeah, yeah. We had Terry on the podcast probably years ago at this point and he was a lot of fun like you say he always has some

Interesting ideas, but he backs them up as well. It's not like he just creates some he backs them up with

So yeah yeah, yeah. You know, we might disagree once in a very while, but that's just, you know, how it is, you know, but it's minor things maybe. I imagine in academia you you have to disagree and it doesn't have to become something major where you're like I went, we're never speaking ever again I hate you.
