Hey guys, if you don't know this already, uh,

cult podcast listener Greg Murphy approached me a few months ago

and asked if I would help him with a vision he had to design a new flag for the state of Mississippi.

By the way, one of the only good visions we've covered on the show before.

And I agreed because I don't love the Confederate flag, not a fan.

So I decided to help them out and we came up with the flag design and it is, it's currently on the third round of design revision and voting and so you can

vote on it if you want to we'll put a link in the show notes we're design

number four there is a duplicate design the state of whoever is running this decided like what

we just fuck with all the design so they've added things they all say in

God we trust that is through no choice of mind personally it was a sort of an

appeasement that was required in order to get a new flag passed by the more

conservative members of the Mississippi legislature.

There's a lot of symbolism in this flag.

It is on a blue field to represent the Mississippi River.

There's 20 stars because Mississippi was the 20th state. There's a magnolia tree in the

center and there's three flowers which represent the past present and future and then
