Summary

The new rule, evidently, is that if you joke about anything our overlords have told us is Not Funny, or if you are found to have said something naughty on Twitter ten years ago, you are to be destroyed and all ties with you are to be cut. Natch, if you're just a warmonger, nothing happens to you at all. Dave Smith joins me to sort this all out.

0:39.6

and we're talking today about this, well, it's rather an inelegant term, but this phenomenon of so-called

0:46.1

cancel culture, whereby somebody is found to have done or said something insensitive, you know,

allowed to be heard from again, and sponsors and endorsements are withdrawn and all that.

2:01.0

people were like a lot of people are looking at this kid. He's really funny. He's doing a great job.

2:05.3

And then out of nowhere, he auditioned for Saturday Night Live and got it. And he was announced as

2:10.2

the next cast member on the show. And then, you know, a bunch of these, these just horrible people
