Palm Beach, Florida looks like a postcard curated by old money.

Manicured hedges trim with an inch of perfection.

You've got historic Mediterranean mansions tucked behind towering gates,

streets that are lined with palm trees.

It's a place where the ultra-wealthy winter rather than live, where last names carry more weight

than resumes and where discretion is prized above display. The culture revolves around

charity boards and private clubs, legacy institutions, and a social calendar that quietly determines who

belongs and who never will. This is old money, generational wealth. Newcomers may arrive with money,

ambition and a glossy Instagram, but Palm Beach operates on inherited access, long memory,

and unspoken rules, a town where wealth is

assumed, status is earned slowly, and trying too hard is the quickest way to be frozen out.

However, Netflix's members-only Palm Beach drops us into this vicinity, and the series centers on

five women from wildly different backgrounds, entrenched,

entrenched into this social system, or adjacent, if you will. Ambitious transplants,

creative rule breakers, all trying to carve out influence in a town that quietly decides who

matters and who absolutely does

not. Several of the women have moved there in the last few years and they have arrived in Palm Beach

believing wealth, hustle, or personality might be enough. And they might discover that legacy,

lineage and long memory still run the room. We meet Hillary, a longtime Palm Beach Insider and self-made real estate developer.
