Hi, everybody, Tom Woods here. Paul Gottfried is back with us today. Paul is an important figure

in the conservative world outside of conservatism incorporated. He's the author of many

important books. He's a Yale Ph.D., a Guggengenheim recipient, Professor Emeritus at Elizabethtown College,

disliked by all the right people, but a very, very smart, scholarly figure. And I just wanted

to talk to him, because I haven't really done this before, about his story. I've done this

with several people who have been frequent guests, and just go through and talk about their stories and evolution and see what we can pluck from that. So Paul, welcome back. Well, thank you for having me again. I've had a number of episodes I told you where I've taken a guest I've had on multiple times and just gone back in time and

reconstructed that person's intellectual development. And even though there are, well, there's

never any shortage of things you and I could discuss from the headlines, I thought today

that's what I wanted to do. Now, you have a PhD from Yale, you know, the second best university

in America. Right. It wasn the second best university in America.

Right.

It wasn't the best.

Of course.
