big primaries across the country with some really interesting results. The most obviously

interesting result is that Representative Madison Cawthorne has now been defeated in his primary

by state Senator Chuck Edwards.

Cawthorn, of course, had been a highly controversial figure, hobnobbing with some of the least savory members of the Republican coalition, accusing people of engaging in bizarre

cocaine-fueled orgies in Washington, D.C. Cawthorne had been then caught on tape doing all manner

of bizarre things ranging from nakedly thrusting

himself onto his cousin in some sort of bizarre video to making weird overtures to another dude

to wearing ladies lingerie at a party like he. He was cruising for a bruising in a

primary, is all I'm saying to you here. And regardless of what you think of Cawthorne himself,

he was a bad candidate. And because he was a bad candidate, he lost in a hotly contested primary.
