Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, so will Trump getting arrested result in him winning re-election by landslide? Elon Musk thinks so, but there's a number of skeptics out there who think nothing of the sort.

We're going to see for ourselves, we're going to examine the arguments for and against, and find out who's right.

As many of you know, and as we reported on last Saturday, Elon Musk responded to the news about President Trump's impending arrests by claiming that Trump will win 2024 in a landslide at Democrats go through with this arrest.

Musk was hardly alone, Scott Adams tweeted out, if they handcuffed Trump, he's your next president.

Even the comedian Chris Rock is warning his fellow liberals that arresting Trump is only going to make him more popular, it's like arresting Tupac.

He's just going to sell more records.

So as you can see, there is widespread opinion across political spectrum that arresting Trump is only going to politically help him not hurt him.

However, of course, not everyone is of that opinion. I came across an article published in the otherwise conservative Washington examiner entitled, no, Trump getting arrested won't help him win in a landslide.

It was written by a fellow by the name of Christopher Tremogli. I'm not forgive me, I've mispronounced the name, but he obviously takes issue with this widely publicized assertion champion by Musk and Adams, Dinesh D'Souza as well.

And a number of others that are radically partisan indictment would end up politically benefiting Trump and quite likely securing his victory in 2024.

And what does fellow basically argues here is that we need to be very, very skeptical of claims like this.

He warns his readers that these kinds of predictions are similar to the false promises made months back that the Mara Laga raid would lead to a red tsunami in the midterm elections, and we all saw how that played out.

Now on the surface, it appears that he might be making a good point there. And for the record, I'm certainly all for healthy skepticism.

As long as such skepticism is rooted in rational argument, in other words, go ahead and be skeptical, but there should be solid reasons for the skepticism in doubt.

And fortunately as I read through this piece, I found that this fellow gives us nothing of the sort. And what I want to do here is I want to walk us through why I think this article poo pooing a Trump landslide is so utterly bad in terms of its reasoning.

And in the process, I want to give you reasons for why yes, Trump's arrest will help him win in a landslide.

Take for example, this notion that Musk's claim that Trump's arrest will result in a landslide victory is similar to the faulty predictions made about how the Mara Laga raid would have led to a red tsunami in the midterms.

That's a highly dubious comparison. And that's because there's a categorical distinction between voting for a person and voting for a party.
