Welcome in to another edition of Rick and Bubba University, the podcast.

We are excited, you know, some of these interviews that we do and we go a little deeper, you

know, for a 45 minute interview are prompted by things that keep coming up on the show.

And one of the things that has been coming up on the show is because, you know, Bubba

and I've been talking about this for, you know, 29, four years now working on trying

to get 30 in, you know, we don't actually do Christian radio, but we are Christians

who do radio.

And so a lot of theological discussions, they do come up on the show, they're part of

what we do.

And one hour you could have that, the next hour you could have the lady sports scores,

the next hour you could talk about something happened to us at Walmart and then in the very

last segment we could go politics, all that in one hour.

So, but one of the things, Bubba, that people have brought up is certain big time, I'm

talking about churches that are getting large and large and large and they're cranking

out all of these modern praise and worship songs and people are starting to get a little

concerned who do have some idea or some depth of theological knowledge or saying some

of these lyrics and some of the things, should we be concerned about this?

So I know that worship leaders all over the country are dealing with this, their congregations

are asking about that, pastors are coming in and saying, look, don't do that song.

And so what we wanted to do is talk to a worship pastor that is on the front lines that's

doing that now and Kirkwood Bulless is going to join us today as a master of divinity and

the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has a bachelor's degree from Belmont University.
