maybe about a week ago, about how many people of various political parties would actually abandon

their country if the United States were directly attacked. So we are not talking about would

you join up for the military if, for example, the United States were attacked in a major city. We are not talking about would you go overseas to fight for your country. We're talking about the Russians are in your town. Do you pick up a gun and fight them or do you flee? That is the question. It was posed by Quinnipiac. And what it found is that most American adults would stand their ground and fight for freedom.

However, there was a significant partisan breakdown.

Republicans said that they would stay and fight the way that the Ukrainians are now

by a margin of 68% to 25%.

Independent said the same by a margin of 57% to 36%.

Democrats, a majority of them said they would flee.

Only 40% of Democrats said that they would stay and fight for their country in response to a

question about what they would do in the same positions as Ukrainians are right now compared
