And today's conversation on the show has to do with all three of those categories.

Motherhood, being a wife, being a Christian woman, and we are pushing back against the lies of culture

and the implication that we are at once called to do too much and also appreciated too little

and yet no one else could do it like we do. There are so many conflicting opinions when it comes

to a secular mindset around what it means to be a woman. And I love that my guest, Tilly Dilla Hay, is addressing it head on with wit, with humor,

with a bit of prodding to get to the heart of the thing.

And I think that that is the goal of this conversation.

And I hope it's something that you take away a lot from and provokes a lot of thought

and really helps you to reconsider if you're

looking at things through a biblical lens or a worldly lens. Okay, friends, today we are

tackling a topic that ends up in my inbox all of the time. And I say a topic, but it's

kind of a hard to define idea. And it is the concept of how Christian women interact with the

influences of the world and how the world tells us we should feel as women. And so my guest today is

Tilly Dilla Hay, who has written, among several things, a book called

My Dear Himlock, which is very much so in the vein of C.S. Lewis's screw tape letters.

There's this she demon who is basically trying to infiltrate the minds of what she calls, what she

calls the patient, the mind of the patient to get her to turn away from all things

godly, all things common sense, all things feminine in the way that God has designed us,

and instead to constantly be suspiciously examining the motives of anyone who teaches God's

word to her and say, is that, you know, kind of way back to the garden. Is that what God really said? Is that what he really meant? Is that what he really wants for you? Did I do that justice at all, Tilly? Yeah, you're right there. You're right there in the zone. Yep. Awesome. Well, welcome on the show. Maybe introduce yourself to those of us that have not gotten to spend a lot of time with you and tell us a little bit about yourself.
