I've been loving the Chairman's Choice 97 in review series.

This is a true look of back to when it used to be better.

It's about that time where it looks like something is getting screwed

and not just the asshole of lapsed fans everywhere. I thought about this email

for a long time after all this was a true watershed moment in the business of bogus brawls.

I was not a fan at the time during

the screw job. My only memories of it as a kid were reading about it in Aaptor

magazines and other wrestling mags. It was talked about as this huge can't miss

moment. Eventually I had to rent Survivor Series 97 from my local

Hollywood video. Typically I didn't like using my rentals on cassettes that weren't either

Austin winning a world title match or some other big match with someone I couldn't see wrestle on TV.

I made an exception for this. I watched the match and I was confused by the finish.

As a kid I knew it was predetermined but I assumed... The moves at least hurt.
