Sir Michael Hill, you are the first night on the podcast, hopefully not the last.

I'm curious to learn so much about you.

We've talked a lot, we played golf together this morning on your golf course down here in New Zealand.

What, you know, I know a lot about you and the people listening are going to get to know a lot about you.

You came into your success in your life as a jeweler but what I've heard you say in

talking earlier was that nothing went your way until the age of 40. Is that true?

That's what you said?

Absolutely true, yes.

Can you go back to, you know, I read somewhere that said you were bullied.

Is that, is that the first example of something not going your way? Or where do you know because I'm just so I know you've written a lot of books about success and things like that but yeah just for us listening right now

How do you turn that around? Right well I suppose really the fear factor is a very hard thing to penetrate and to break,

and it can really have an eye on hold on you.

I guess when I was at school, I a very uncomfortable time I was small. I was in a

farming community and the boys were bigger than me and I was too well dressed. They

were roughly dressed. They were the rough boys, you know, from the farm.

And my mother would dress me up, you know, and like a little Lord Fontelroy.

And it didn't really go, it was a natural target for bullying.

And I had a hell of a time at school.

I really did.
