What's up everybody? Welcome to Podcast number 143. I am your host, Reality Steve.

Thank you all for tuning in. We've got an interesting show for you today and you'll

know what I mean when you hear it. It is by author Jennifer Posner. She's written a book.

It came out a while ago, but it's on Reality TV. It's called Reality Bites Back, the

troubling truth about guilty pleasure TV. Jen is very, very opinionated in regards to

how we view reality television and there's so many layers to the things that she said

and she dives very deep and talks about stuff that I don't think I have ever thought of

when watching these shows. I'm guaranteeing most of you don't think of when you watch

these shows. Really interesting stuff. I don't know if it'll change anybody's opinion

when they watch this show because I have a feeling a lot of you will listen today and

be like, okay, that's great. I'm just going to go back to watching the show and I want

to have to think about anything. But if you listen to her points that she makes, they

are really excellent points. I just think a lot of you are going to kind of dismiss

it unfortunately. It's just, it's a lot. I will give you that. It is a lot to take in.

But Jennifer is someone that has done, has covered this for 20 years. This isn't someone

that just decides to watch TV and have an opinion. I mean, this is something she's put

research into and something she's covered literally for 20 years for the first 10. She
