Hey, everybody, Tom Woods here. We're talking today about the America First Committee, which is a very, very controversial organization that favored non-intervention at the beginning of the Second World War.

Now, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, they closed their doors and no longer opposed the intervention.

And in fact, numerous people, including Charles Lindberg and Kurt Vonnegut, who had been

involved in the America First Committee, went ahead and wound up fighting for the United States in the war,

but they had favored non-intervention. And that, of course, is not the mainstream view today.

So it so happens that our guest, Ben Lewis, who is a contributing editor for the Austro-Liberarian

2016 campaign because Trump used the phrase America First. And that, of course, calls to mind the

And you did see even NPR, I have to say, it was interesting to see, saying that it's a mixed bag here.

And you shouldn't just assume the worst about these people that actually there were a lot of very, very prominent Americans.
