Summary

Today’s singer, musician, songwriter, and record producing guest is a founding member of the genre defining pop punk band, blink-182 as well as the popular +44 and pop duo, Simple Creatures. He has survived three decades of alternative music - from punk clubs of Southern California to unlikely pop stardom in the TRL era to navigating the new millennium's post-genre revolution. The band is noted as bringing the genre of pop punk into the mainstream. In 1995, blink-182 released their debut album, Cheshire Cat which launched their first national tour. The group's album Enema Of The State peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, led by it's No. 6 track, "All The Small Things." The album has since been certified five-times platinum by the RIAA. The band received their first career GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album for their album, California in 2016 during the 59th Grammy awards. blink-182 has sold over 13 million albums in the United States, and over 50 million albums worldwide. Our guest is not only recognized as the bassist and co-vocalist of one of the most iconic bands but also as an incredibly loving father, husband and overall human. And The Writer Is… Mark Hoppus!
