0:00.0	What I began to see is that the day-to-day level of just loving my kid and making decisions for her that I would make for a kid who wasn't gay, that love looks the same in both those settings.
0:18.5	The decisions I was making for my daughter around who to date and who to go out with
0:24.5	and and that kind of stuff, like all the principles still applied. Be good to each other,
0:33.6	be careful, guard your heart and make wise decisions. And I mean, all of those things still
0:39.6	applied. And I think that was one of the things that for me, and you talk about being in
0:44.1	relationship with people, when you're not in direct relationship with people who are
0:49.6	different in a really fundamental way, like in this case, Abby was, she was attracted to people of the same sex.
0:57.2	I'm attracted to people of the opposite sex.
0:59.5	But fundamentally, as human beings, most everything else is the same about us.
