What I began to see is that the day-to-day level of just loving my kid and making decisions for her that I would make for a kid who wasn't gay, that love looks the same in both those settings.

The decisions I was making for my daughter around who to date and who to go out with

different in a really fundamental way, like in this case, Abby was, she was attracted to people of the same sex.
