You have got worse over you i just wanted to set the mood because you got you guys both two of our three guests both got out three of our three two two who else got one i shot one this week sweet congrats hung with the out foundation that's cheating yeah yeah it was it was a good time we uh pretty tough there still yeah it was i mean there's a day and a half we didn't see or hear oak oh okay and then there was a morning where we saw and heard a lot of oak.

What was going on what state were you we're in Montana east Montana so hunting just you know they were coming up river bottom in some farmland and catching them up coming into the hills picked them off and i mean it was uh it was wild and crazy for about an hour and a half call them again out in front of them.

Calcald men so there was 12 bowls bugling so that just really got them to talk it didn't actually uh get them to come over but then i just kind of snuck in and was able to calc all them over the ridge to us.

Okay 12 bowls bugling yeah it was uh there was a big herd going through and they were kind of navigating through you know what kind of big heard.

I mean there was a hundred elk easy really yeah and I mean you know there's a bunch there's a bunch of different bowls with the heroms you know of six or seven yeah guys and then my bowl was kind of following up the rear and I could hear him bugling off and so we just waited till he got over out of sight and then a cow called a couple times he responded right away and then I could tell he was coming our way and I had found a pinch point that they all funneled through and so we just waited there cow called one more time he responded and.

Crested the hill and came into 40 yards really how far did he run after you hit him he went a little way so no excuses didn't put the perfect shot on him so hit him and ended up watching go over the ridge a little bit and then decided to back out for a couple hours and went back and he was dead there so he made it a couple of

hundred yards yeah I kept it real in Western Montana public land we're using on X sharing way points checking out what water is I got to look at intermittent streams to see where the water is going to be when I'm up on the mountain dip my little

now you know there I use a Stereo pin smart get water I don't like to carry water around so check out those intermittent streams get down there get a little drink that probably

on X just to figure out make sure he wasn't going from one private to the wrong yeah we're definitely now getting boundaries make sure I was on the right

places there and then also just being able to mark you know we're sharing way points where to be at certain times what you guys call that this is kind of not off topic but a little tangent here but what you

get so I was talking to a friend of mine I was telling me about no no no definitely still an icon but he was telling me about how his guiding

season wasn't Colorado and he's saying man I had just the last week multiple like a half dozen magic circles now does that mean anything to you when someone said they were

depend on the context man out hunting else okay and they got into like the magic circle no I would be I would say in that situation I would say

would you happen to be referring to a honey hole which I know that you wouldn't ask if there were any wizards involved yeah well yeah if you

was hunt mushrooms I would think you find a bunch of fairy rings why I'd forgotten that we use that term back when I used to guide

their magic circle yeah it means they're going to honey hole no a naval no like a rut fest yeah
