guitars for the Fort Worth Texas alternative rock band, The Todies.

Together we take a deep dive into the writing, recording, an inspiration behind the smash hit single,

Possum Kingdom, taken from their 1994 album, Rubberneck.

The 90s were a wacky and weird time for music and the toties fit in perfectly.

Vayden agreed with that sentiment going as far as to say that weird is what he was going for

from a lyrical and musical standpoint.

The track goes between some odd time signatures, and combined with a lyric and arrangement

of the song, takes you on a cool little journey.

Vaidan mentioned that the song was recorded multiple times prior to this recording and it was mostly an afterthought to him when Interscope brought it up that the band should re-record it for the album

It wasn't until he heard Andy Wallace's final mix that he knew they had made the right call.
