Okay, I am so excited to welcome Catherine Ellingworth to the show.

I've been telling you guys she's going to join us.

We've been working past couple of weeks through Dante's Vita Nuova and his divine comedy,

his comedia, including all of the canticles, but especially in Fairno and Pergatorio,

because I wanted Catherine to come on especially and really dig into parody.

So with us, I think it's the most sublime part of the poem.

I also think that I don't feel equipped to really grapple with it with the depth that it

deserves because this is one of those ones.

The comedy itself and this canticle, especially it's one of those texts that I feel a certain

trepidation approaching.

I think I hear from you guys that you feel that too.

And so I wanted to have an expert on and I don't know.

You know, Catherine's probably too modest to call herself an expert, but I will, I'm flinchingly

call her a Dante expert if you saw Nolz's episode of the book club that was about the

divine comedy.

She did a beautiful job laying it out there and she's also just on the very tail end of

her PhD on Dante.

And so it's she's the perfect person to kind of bring this series to a close with us.

And I'm looking forward to the show.
