Folks, by now many of you know that Bob Murphy and I will be engaging in an Oxford-style

debate aboard this year's Contra Cruise, the fourth such cruise we've

held. And I keep saying that I'm going to crush Bob so badly, people are going to need to carry

his corpse off the ship. And that may have been a bit of a downer for some of you. So let me remind

you that before Bob perishes miserably, we're going to be playing games, having a lot of laughs, getting to know a lot of wonderful people, and seeing some beautiful sights in Alaska.

So yes, Bob's funeral is going to be a bit of a downer. I'll grant you. But overall, it's going to be a fantastic time.

Hi, everybody. Tom Woods here. There is a lot of talk these days about wealth redistribution,

and I dare say there is more talk about it today than there has

been at any time in my lifetime. So this is truly a watershed moment. So I thought I would dig

into the archives. I found a talk I gave at the Meeses Institute's Mises University Summer Program in which I talked about

wealth redistribution and some of the difficulties and consequences of it, both when we think

of it in terms of people within a country having their wealth redistributed from one person

to another, but also talking about wealth redistribution

from one country to another. So welfare programs and foreign aid, development aid programs,

are the topic of this particular talk. Now, tomorrow I got a fun, interesting, controversial

guest coming on. You're just going to have to wait, but that one is really, really going to be worth it.

This one, as I say, goes back to probably 2010, but the kind of topic that it covers is much, much more relevant today than it was in 2010.
