| 1:34.3 | climb. With me were Caleb Linville, my son, my nephew, Stephen Moldenhauer, and my good friend |
| 1:41.4 | Stone Hubbard. And these guys are all 18, 19 years old. |
| 1:45.2 | I'm more than twice that, so I was really grateful that they were willing to help the old man up the mountain, |
| 1:51.3 | but we had a fantastic time together. |
| 1:53.7 | And I should point out, this is not a simple day hike. |
| 1:58.3 | This mountain was in a lot of ways trying to do us in. The avalanche conditions |
| 2:03.9 | were extreme that day. The temperatures were below zero degrees Fahrenheit for most of the day. |
| 2:08.4 | We had winds of up to, I would say, 40 miles an hour. And some of us experienced a little bit of |
| 2:15.8 | frostbite. My water bottle froze, so I had to climb without water because everything was frozen solid. |
| 2:22.0 | There were several things that made this hike really challenging. |
