Summary

Monique Berish grew up in remarkably rough circumstances that included living in an area riddled with crime and poverty, dealing with her parents' mental health struggles, their divorce, and a sudden cross-country move. All of this lead her to alcohol abuse and later, alcohol dependence as well as sexual relationships and other self-destructive behaviors to cope with the pain. Eventually, Monique found the Gospel of Jesus Christ and completely changed her life. In the episode, she tells us the story of her journey and what lead her to chronicle it all in her new book. Monique is so candid. Her story is one of true redemption and faith.
