When Lincoln Riley decided to make like five full and head out west to take the USC job

for mega bucks, the expectations became instant, and the thirst was re-envigorated for Trojan

fateful all across the country.

Now USC is one of the few West Coast destinations where you can compete with the big boys from

the south and the north to try and become a dominant force in the sport of college football.

Now when USC is cooking, they have as much potential as anybody on the intercollegiate map.

Lincoln brought in some big time transfers at the skill positions, including quarterback

prodigy Caleb Williams and star wide receiver Mario Williams from Oklahoma.

Then Oregon running back, Travis Dye signed up to play lead at RB, throw in Jordan Addison,

and USC is scarier than Jim McElwain taking naked pictures with a shark at the skill position.

But there's only one problem though.

They aren't where they need to be up front yet.

Now the only way to bridge the gap with the College Football Elite of today is to have

enough depth and talent in the trenches to give yourself a chance at the end.

It isn't even about the starting five on the O.L. or the front four on the defensive side.

It's about how many bodies you have behind them that can withstand the battles you are

sure to face if you make it to the end.

Now all the skill players in the world won't fix a deficiency up front.
