Always ask yourself, what is my edge?

Because when you're day trading from your basement at home, there's another 100 million people who are competing against you.

And it is a competition.

If you're day trading and another person is day trading on the other side of your trade, one of you will win and one of you will

lose. Now, there's arguments to suggest that day trading is not always a zero-sum competition

that everybody could win because some people will have different timeframes like a long-term

investor might be liquidating his or her portfolio and you benefit from that by day trading

it. So I'm not saying it's me versus them, but a lot of the daily activity in the market is

a me versus them.
